Sterling Hydrotech Ltd is a well-established, independent, nationwide specialist in commercial swimming pool water treatment and plant installation. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from handover through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects from contract award through to completion.
- Liaise closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition from quotation to project delivery.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and ensuring expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate internal administration, procurement, and logistics teams to support project delivery.
- Organise and manage both in-house engineers and specialist subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress, programme schedules, and project costs.
- Attend site meetings and work collaboratively with site teams to ensure specifications and quality standards are achieved.
- Prepare and issue Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and CDM requirements.
- Identify and resolve project issues proactively to minimise delays and maintain customer satisfaction.
Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial swimming pool plant installation, water treatment, or a related mechanical services industry.
- Previous experience managing projects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience producing project plans and schedules.
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and construction project management principles (preferred but not essential).
- A recognised Project Management qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Good commercial awareness and experience monitoring project costs.
- A proactive, forward-thinking approach with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- A full UK driving licence.
