Responsibilities

In your new role as Mobile Engineering Assistant you will complete engineering work within the area in an efficient and safe manner, with repairs undertaken as appropriate. This will mean ensuring all planned maintenance is carried out in line with its scheduled date, that Health & Safety policies are adhered to, and that there is compliance with the agreed MITIE framework. As an Assistant you need to ensure all equipment and services are kept and functioned safely according to Health & Safety and ensure all staff are aware of safety procedures. You will be responsible for a team of engineers including day engineers & shift engineers who you will need to provide an up-to-date shift rota for ensuring the appropriate staff are at work when required. You'll be required to fully participate in training and appraisal activities, as well ensuring KPIs are met are a key part of this role.

Qualifications

The qualifications you will need to hold are City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent, HVAP qualification & relevant HV experience, IEE 18th Edition Regulations (ideal) and ISOH managing safely. You must have experience in dealing with all types of electrical installation and repair work and be able to carry out all aspects of maintenance and installation requirements as required that is included in the contract, making use of the uniform and PPE provided. IT experience is also necessary for recording work accurately. You must be available to join a call out rota and hold a full UK driving licence.
