Role: Surplus Stock Controller – Food Manufacturing (FTC)
Hours: Full time – Temporary role (6-month contract to cover maternity leave)
Location: Site based at 54 Church St, Caldewgate, Carlisle, CA2 5TG

We’re looking for a Site Surplus Stock Controller who will be responsible for the communication and execution of the Imperfect Product sales agenda and associated site waste streams, reporting to the central functional lead.
Role Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the organization and maximising collection opportunities in each product category of imperfect product
- Collaborate effectively and raise potential risk to key stakeholders
- Deliver documented reports on waste stream progress on a weekly basis to key stakeholders
- Cover multiple waste streams across the site including card, plastic, animal feed, R1 Reduce, R2 Reuse and R3 Recycle (this list is not exhaustive)
- Deliver the weekly and monthly Imperfect Product sales numbers versus forecast
Required Qualifications:
- Effective at building relationships and able to interact with people at all levels
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team towards a common goal
- Logical mind with a strong eye for detail and an organised approach
- Proficient Excel and PowerPoint skills including data analysis, advanced formula creation, pivot tables and generating weekly and monthly reports
- Proactive, good communicator and able to work independently with minimal supervision
