We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor with an electrical bias working a 6 - 2 2-10 shift pattern, to manage a team of engineers in collaboration with department Leaders to ensure a proactive response to planned and reactive maintenance activities.
As a maintenance supervisor you must be reliable and have a great eye for detail. You must have technical skills and knowledge of electrical and mechanical disciplines, be computer literate and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks such as scheduling are also essential.
Qualifications:
17th or 18th Edition Electrical and Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification is desirable.
Key Responsibilities / Requirements:
- Coordinating with the Helpdesk.
- Managing a team of 10 staff comprising electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and effluent engineers, and 2 apprentices ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Manage and delegate planned and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client interactions, demonstrating excellent communication skills and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Work closely with the team to understand and implement company procedures and processes effectively.
- A methodical approach to problem-solving with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong client-facing skills; the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and compliance requirements.
- Provide first line maintenance support to the manufacturing departments.
- Manage planned/scheduled maintenance tasks & record work done or required on CMMS (Maximo).
- Liaise with Engineering Stores manager to order spare parts.
- Diagnose machine breakdowns and report when necessary.
- Communicate and escalate accordingly when assistance is required.
- Identify own training needs and with manager agree a time plan for achieving this.
- Contribute to and help implement continuous improvement, to enhance quality, safety, efficiency and waste reduction.
