We're looking for a Lead Engineer who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to maintenance schedules.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Lead and manage the site team
- Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive works are delivered in line with SLA/KPI requirements
- Provide hands‑on support and technical expertise across building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, BMS)
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations (e. g.
SFG20, LOLER, PUWER, Electrical Safety, Fgas), Overseeing completion and quality of compliance documentation and certification.
- Act as site Responsible Person / Duty Holder where required
- Lead audits and manage closure of any audit actions
- Contractor & Supply Chain Management
- Manage specialist contractors and monitor performance against contracts
- Ensure all contractors follow permit‑to‑work systems and H&S requirements
- Validate RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are adhered to
- Health, Safety & Environment
- Promote a strong safety culture across the team by ensuring compliance with company H&S policies and procedures
- Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety inspections
- Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives across the site
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach and develop engineering team members
- Set clear expectations, objectives, and performance standards
- Support training plans, succession planning, and competency development
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the technical point of contact for the client and stakeholders
- Provide technical input into client meetings and reporting
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through service delivery
- Key Skills & Experience
- Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and maintenance regimes
- Experience in FM / building services environment
- Proven team leadership and contractor management experience
- IT literate
