Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive engineering lead to take full responsibility for the technical, maintenance and compliance operations of a large commercial building. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers and contractors to ensure that all building systems operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance with statutory requirements. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent leadership skills and the ability to plan, manage and deliver a high standard of service across all aspects of building maintenance and facilities engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all engineering operations across electrical, mechanical, and building services systems.
- Plan and deliver an advanced PPM program, ensuring all works are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Liaise with and manage subcontractors to ensure work is carried out to required standards and within agreed timeframes.
- Respond promptly to any technical or maintenance issues within the building, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Manage and maintain all compliance documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely completion of statutory checks.
- Support and promote team development, coaching engineers to achieve performance and career goals.
- Prepare and review technical reports, maintenance logs, and performance data.
- Attend and contribute to client and management meetings, providing updates on building performance, maintenance activities, and compliance status.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance energy efficiency, sustainability, and service delivery.
What we’re looking for
- Extensive experience within Building Services.
- Knowledge of an Engineering field.
- Strong management experience and coordinating medium-large teams.
- Great knowledge and experience within Health and Safety Compliance.
- Knowledge of managing PPMs and Reactive works.
- Holds relevant certifications or qualifications.
- Legionella and Lifts knowledge would be desired but training is provided.
