We are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to undertake the maintenance and repair of the Gas Plant of buildings as required under contract.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair the Gas Plant at schools, libraries, and care homes.
  • Complete all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks to required legislative standards.
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork within timescales.
  • Participate on the On‑Call Rota.
  • Monitor visiting sub‑contractors for standard of work and Health & Safety compliance.
  • Issue appropriate permits, control small work and escort duties as required.
  • Ensure all certifications are correctly completed and remedial works clearly identified.
  • Anticipate, diagnose and repair faults.

Qualifications

  • Full current driving licence.
  • Strong customer care focus, good communication skills and proactive skills.
  • Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment such as boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable).
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
  • Holding commercial Gas tickets or qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in relevant disciplines to role.
  • Capable of completing essential paperwork accurately and timely.
