ROLE: Maintenance Assistant
HOURS: 40 hours a week

We're looking for a Maintenance Assistant to support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities across site. You will assist skilled engineers in maintaining building services, plant equipment and general facilities to ensure a safe and compliant working environment. The role will involve carrying out a range of general maintenance and fabric tasks in support of the site maintenance team, while contributing to the achievement of service levels, compliance requirements and customer satisfaction standards.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities across site.
- Assist skilled engineers in maintaining building services, plant equipment and general facilities.
- Undertake general building fabric maintenance including repairs to doors, ceilings, walls, flooring, fixtures and fittings.
- Support engineers with mechanical, electrical and HVAC maintenance activities.
- Complete basic plumbing, painting, decorating and handyman tasks as required.
- Carry out routine inspections and report defects, hazards and maintenance issues.
- Assist with site moves, furniture installations and minor project works.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work using the company's CAFM system or relevant documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities management, construction, or trade support role.
- Full UK driving licence desirable.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required to work on a BAE Systems site.
