Fantastic opportunity to join the Mitie and Marks & Spencer family! We are looking for a professional and reliable Site Protection Officer (SPO) to provide high-quality security services at the Marks & Spencer Distribution Centre in Bradford. As an SPO, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure working environment for colleagues, visitors, and contractors, protecting company assets, and delivering excellent customer service in line with Mitie and M&S standards. The role requires flexibility across days, nights, and weekends, including the ability to provide short-notice cover when required. Full training will be provided.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide professional security cover at the M&S Bradford Distribution Centre
- Deliver excellent customer service in line with Mitie and M&S values
- Maintain high standards of appearance, conduct, and professionalism at all times
- Monitor access control systems, CCTV, and vehicle movements in accordance with site procedures
- Carry out regular internal and external patrols to ensure site safety and security
- Support the prevention and investigation of theft, stock loss, and unauthorised access
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
- Complete accurate and timely incident reports and handovers
- Work collaboratively with the Site Protection Team Leader and site management
- Comply with all site-specific procedures, security policies, and instructions
- Provide flexible support, including short-notice cover when operationally required
Person Specification
- Literate and numerate with strong attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm and confident under pressure with a positive attitude
- Must hold a valid front-line SIA Licence
