Are you an experienced Waste Supervisor looking for something new? Mitie are looking for a Waste Supervisor to oversee and assist in delivering the service in line with the Client Contract. You will assist in ensuring the services are carried out compliantly with current legislation and environment legislation and maintain the Health, Safety and Welfare of the team. You will operate and maintain vehicles and plan in line with company procedure and legislative requirements. In addition to this, you will carry out random checks and audits on plant machinery under remit and stand in for the Contract / Operations Manager.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Completing all necessary internal and external communication and documentation in a thorough and timely manner.
- Manage all drum & tanker control on site in terms of compliance, records and actual operation in conjunction with the waste management coordinator.
- Supervising the activities of subcontractors on site.
- Maintaining Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Oversight will encompass the team's execution of plant operations. Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety protocols will also be in your responsibility.
Have experience in the Waste Management Industry and have knowledge of different types of waste (hazardous / non hazardous).
Be available outside of normal working hours for emergency call outs.
Have basic computer literacy skills.
