ROLE: Fabric Technician
HOURS: 37.5hours a week
LOCATION: Barnard Castle
We're looking for a Fabric Technician who will support the delivery of varying construction and refurbishment projects, managing subcontractors and associated health and safety paperwork, whilst undertaking fabric maintenance and repairs across a busy and aged manufacturing site.
Role Responsibilities:
- Delivery of varying construction and refurbishment projects, managing subcontractors and associated health and safety paperwork.
- Undertaking fabric maintenance and repairs across a busy and aged manufacturing site.
- Fabric maintenance activities.
- General carpentry such as repairs to doors and furniture.
- Basic plumbing.
- Minor repairs and maintenance on walls and ceilings.
- Tiling repairs and wall repairs.
- Painting and decorating.
- Other general building services such as housekeeping.
- Repairs and maintenance to building fabric.
- Remedial minor building works following PPM activities completed by other service lines.
- Painting and decorating projects (as and when required).
- Flooring repairs and new installations.
- Basic plastering.
- Maintenance of kitchens, bathrooms and communal areas.
- Carpentry works.
- Lock repairs.
- Stock management of site consumables.
- Support to the office moves team.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified to a C&G or NVQ in a fabric trade, such as carpentry, painting and decorating, etc.
- Previous experience of working as a Fabric Technician.
- Strong customer service experience.
