We are seeking energetic, enthusiastic school or college leavers to join our rapidly growing landscaping business as an Apprentice Grounds Maintenance Operative. The role is a 24‑month Level 2 apprenticeship on a permanent contract, beginning immediately.
Responsibilities
- Operate mechanical lawn mowers, strimmers, leaf blowers, hedge cutters and other tools to maintain client sites.
- Control weeds through careful chemical treatment (when qualified).
- Use our scheduling and reporting app to record work performed.
- Leave work areas clean, tidy and well maintained.
- Comply with Health & Safety procedures and instructions.
- Learn about and operate sustainable working practices.
- Provide management with relevant information and reporting, including any site issues.
- Perform additional duties dependant on client site.
- Work as part of a team.
Person Specification
- GCSEs in English and Maths.
- Good demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills.
- Eager to learn and be proactive.
- Enthusiastic about learning new skills.
- Happy to work with mechanical equipment and hand tools.
