Responsibilities
- Report to the Team Leader on duty and Site Security Manager providing crucial updates and data.
- Liaise with a variety of stakeholders including the military.
- Complete and maintain regular reporting duties, including an effective shift handover.
- Patrol the site via 4x4 vehicles (day and night) and report any significant risks or damage.
- Support Air Traffic Control with incidents on the runway.
- Work in a control room environment monitoring CCTV, intruder, fire, panic and building management systems (BMS).
- Escort VIPs and government services on and off site at short notice.
- Issue building keys and hire cars.
- Ensure all duties performed are in line with the Assignment Instructions and GSSOR.
- Communicate with Air Traffic Control (ATC) and the Security Control Room using the phonetic alphabet.
- Report any health and safety concerns and observations.
- Lead by example.
- Communicate clearly and professionally at all levels.
Qualifications
- Be a UK passport holder.
- Hold a front-line SIA licence (SG, DS or CP).
- Hold a UK driving licence (manual).
- Be willing to undertake SC clearance.
- Colour perception test will be required.
- Undertake the signing of the Official Secrets Act 1989.
- Use Microsoft programmes such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Be available to work days, nights and weekends.
- Speak fluent English.
- Be presentable.
