ROLE: AI & Analytics Engineer LOCATION: Hybrid (UK – Office presence as required) CONTRACT: Full Time

We're looking for a pragmatic and versatile AI & Analytics Engineer to join our Data Transformation function, delivering scalable, user‑focused analytics solutions across our modern data platform.

This role spans analytics engineering, solution architecture, and lightweight application development, working across Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Python, SQL, and React to turn data into actionable, business‑driven solutions.

  • Role Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain data‑driven solutions to optimise processes and deliver new capabilities.
  • Develop and enhance analytics solutions across Microsoft Fabric and Azure platforms.
  • Contribute to the wider Azure environment, including Azure Functions, Container Apps, and Key Vault.
  • Support the development of AI‑powered tools such as natural language query agents, semantic retrieval, and RAG pipelines.
  • Participate in the design of scalable data architectures, including semantic layers, MDM frameworks, and reusable analytics components.
  • Contribute to frontend development (React/Type Script) where required to support user‑facing analytics tools.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and BI teams to integrate outputs into production‑ready solutions.
  • Document solutions comprehensively, including architecture decisions, metadata, lineage, and operational considerations.
  • Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

  • Technical Skills
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data platforms.
  • Advanced skills in Python, T‑SQL, and data modelling.
  • Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git/Dev Ops workflows, and cloud engineering practices.
  • Practical experience designing scalable analytics or data solutions.
  • Working knowledge of React/Type Script or willingness to contribute to front‑end development.

Desirable

  • Experience with LLM/RAG architectures and AI tooling.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with React/Type Script.
  • Experience deploying Azure Container Apps and cloud infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, semantic models, and DAX.
  • Experience with tools such as DBT, Fast API, Duck DB, or Polars.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API, YAML pipelines, and data platform automation.
  • Exposure to machine learning concepts or analytics tooling development.

  • Comfortable working across the full data stack (data, infrastructure, architecture, and UI).
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts into business value.
