Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Use of Force training to incoming staff and provide refresher courses to our experienced team members according to the Use of Force Manual.
- Be a core member of the Training Team, promote Mitie values and professional standards, and challenge behaviours that do not align with our principles.
- Collaborate with the National Tactical Response Group (NTRG) to deliver dynamic training packages using a variety of techniques tailored to diverse learning styles and neurodiverse needs.
- Support the Training Manager (UOF) and Regional Training Manager in promoting a culture of continuous development across Care & Custody.
Where You\’ll Work
This is a UK-wide position, with a primary focus on the Oxfordshire region. The role requires flexibility to travel across the country, and overnight stays will be required.
What You\’ll Need
- At least 1 year\’s experience thriving in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
- Relevant, industry-recognised accreditations and qualifications (such as an Education & Training Level 3 or equivalent) are highly desirable. Previous experience in coaching or teaching is a plus.
- Desirable, but not essential: prior experience as an instructor for Use of Force, First Aid, or Health & Safety.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and stay overnight as required.
- A minimum of 2 years\’ experience in a people-facing role, to support effective delivery of communication and de-escalation elements within Use of Force training.
