Overview

The purpose of this role is to lead the soft service delivery supporting the Compliance Manager on the Department for Transport (DfT) facilities management contract within their geographical area of responsibility (Peterborough, Ipswich, Norwich, Southend on Sea, Cambridge & Colchester area). The role is responsible for supporting all areas of soft service delivery to all affected properties within the defined geographical area (East of England). The role will provide operational leadership and direction to ensure compliance with service delivery obligations, support the Compliance Manager in management of the P&L, SLA\’s and KPI performance measurement. The Regional Workplace Manager will provide leadership to all staff and key supply partners, inspiring performance excellence across all levels and in all soft service delivery areas, working within the agreed commercial model and budgets and to drive innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in delivering a best-in-class soft service provision. The Regional Workplace Manager will manage the cleaning teams and ensure appropriate levels of resources are deployed with succession and development plans in place whilst ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with all statutory requirements and corporate policies including, but not limited to, Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, Environment & Sustainability and Employment Legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Embed a zero accidents culture of Health and Safety within the contract
  • Update & manage CAFM System
  • Manage cleaning, waste, pest, security & anything relating to soft services
  • Manage a team of cleaners (around 30)
  • Ensure that the budget is adhered to, and all levels of expenditure are within the set contract targets
  • Drive performance levels across the region with implementation of Business Improvement Plans to ensure continuous improvement, best practice and innovations are at the heart of our model

Qualifications

  • Substantial and proven experience in multi-site soft services TFM contracts and experience managing a team of cleaners
  • Excellent people communication skills: ability to manage and develop positive relationships with stakeholders
  • Experience in successfully working in a pressured and stressful environment
  • Full UK Driving licence
  • A team player but able to work under own initiative and able to escalate matters out of own limitations
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload for multiple resources and functional areas
  • Candidates will be required to meet security checks (BPSS & NPPV Level 2) to work on the client premises and must be happy with travelling to multiple sites
