We are looking for an experienced, influential and forward-thinking Fire Safety Manager to play a critical leadership role within one of Europe's most iconic retail and leisure destinations. What You'll Be Doing

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Partner with the Centre Risk Manager to continuously develop and evolve the Centre Fire Strategy.
    • Champion a positive fire safety and risk management culture across the business.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, company policies and the Centre Health & Safety Management System.
    • Act as a trusted subject matter expert, providing professional fire safety guidance to centre leadership and operational teams.
    • Lead by example, promoting best practice and driving continuous improvement in fire prevention and emergency preparedness.
  • Tactical Oversight
    • Maintain and continuously review the Centre Fire Risk Assessment to ensure full compliance and operational effectiveness.
    • Oversee all life safety systems including fire detection, suppression, smoke control, emergency lighting and property protection systems.
    • Ensure all preventative maintenance, statutory testing and inspections are completed to the highest standard and within required timeframes.
    • Work closely with Facilities Management to ensure all fire safety systems and records remain compliant, robust and audit-ready.
    • Deliver engaging fire safety awareness training, evacuation exercises and Duty Manager training programmes.
    • Manage critical documentation including fire safety policies, procedures and compliance records.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Manage and approve fire safety-related contractor permits and access requests via CTracker, including sprinkler impairments, fire alarm isolations and hot works.
    • Monitor fire alarm activations, identify root causes and implement preventative actions to reduce recurrence.
    • Drive corrective actions through electronic reporting systems including Sphera.
    • Provide operational Risk Management cover during periods of leave or business need.
    • Maintain high visibility across the centre, ensuring fire safety standards are consistently upheld in a live operational environment.

Qualifications required

  • NEBOSH Fire Safety
  • NEBOSH Health and Safety
  • Level 4 Certificate in Intermediate Fire Risk Assessment to BS 8674:2025 or Level 5 Certificate in Advanced Fire Risk Assessment to BS 8674:2025
  • IFSM Membership or Fire Protection Association Member
