What can I earn? Starting salary of ÂŁ45,000, can earn up to ÂŁ49,000 when all training completed. Typical overtime shifts at premium rates may add another ÂŁ3,500. Refer a friend and receive ÂŁ500.
Qualifications
- Qualified RN Adult, RMN (dual registration), RGN, or Paramedic.
- Minimum 12 months previous custody experience, 3 years post‑qualification experience in General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Walk‑in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare, Mental Health, or Ambulance Service as an Adult RN.
- 3 years UK residency.
- Current manual driving licence with no restrictions for occasional travel.
- All candidates are subject to police vetting checks.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibility is to lead a team of HCPs providing detained individuals with accurate assessments and ensuring their care and wellbeing needs are met. You will oversee rota gaps and cover as needed, supervise and appraise staff, and work as part of an integrated team with the clinical lead and senior lead to ensure local processes meet National Clinical Governance Standards and the forces’ specific needs.

- FFLM Licentiate in General Forensic Medicine Part 1 and 2 within 5 years of recruitment.
- UKAFN ASET in Forensic Practice within 3 years of recruitment.
