What You'll Do

This mobile role involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works across electrical systems and building services. Responsibilities include fault‑finding, diagnosis and repair of distribution boards, motors, pumps, building management systems, emergency lighting and general electrical plant. You will also support mechanical maintenance tasks such as HVAC systems, pumps, valves, air handling units, basic plumbing and basic fabric works. You will also be included in the on‑call rota. All work must be completed in full compliance with BS 7671, Mitie technical standards and statutory requirements, with job progress and documentation accurately maintained. The role requires close collaboration with the wider engineering team, a strong customer‑focused approach, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment at all times.

  • You will have strong electrical fault‑finding and maintenance experience, ideally gained within facilities management or commercial or industrial building services environments.
  • You must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrate a positive approach to health and safety, and consistently deliver high‑quality workmanship.
  • A full UK driving licence is required, along with the ability to obtain SC clearance.

Desirable

  • City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 / 2395 Test and Inspection qualifications.
  • City & Guilds 2377 or equivalent.
  • Mechanical skills or multi‑trade experience.
