Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Hybrid working with occasional visits to one of our offices in Birmingham, Bristol, London or Manchester

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory and Python.
  • Manage the ingestion of raw data from multiple sources including CAFM, Finance Systems, Salesforce, IoT and HR systems into the Data Lakehouse.
  • Implement automated SQL and Python processes to identify, monitor and resolve data quality issues at source.
  • Maintain Data Governance standards including data dictionaries, lineage and schematics, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with Analysts, BI Developers, Information Systems and architecture teams to deliver scalable, future‐proofed data solutions and optimise system performance.

Qualifications:

  • Expert‐level SQL skills combined with strong Python experience, including data manipulation using Pandas and PySpark.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Stack technologies including Azure Data Factory, Synapse and Data Lake.
  • Proven experience delivering ETL/ELT projects, data modelling and implementing Data Governance controls.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a Data Engineering role.
  • Strong communication, analytical and problem‐solving skills with the ability to explain technical issues in a business‐focused way.
