Relief Retail Security Officer – Lidl

Location: Covering Stores around Watford, South Ruislip, South Oxhey and Harrow.

Position: Security officer.

Pay: £14.14 per hour.

Shifts: Weekdays and weekends as per the shift pattern.

About the Role:

Mitie is looking for Relief Retail Security Officers for Lidl stores. The role includes full training and a quality induction. The Officer must be able to drive and have access to a personal vehicle to reach the sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor.
  • Safely detain offenders following H&S training.
  • Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates.
  • Collaborate with covert security operatives.
  • Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders.
  • Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation.
  • Report crime incidents using a company-provided tablet.
  • Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety.
  • Record patrols in daily activity sheets.
  • Provide security updates during store briefings.
  • Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all.

Qualifications:

  • Door Supervision or Security Guarding License.
  • Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or education.
  • Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Previous experience in a retail security role.
