Responsibilities:
- Complete allocated Water Hygiene tasks to company standards on a day-to-day basis.
- Provide expertise and manage optimum service delivery to maintain total customer satisfaction with the services provided.
- Carry out tasks allocated in accordance with all method statements and the cardinal rules of WCS Group.
- Complete allocated jobs within the agreed timescales.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately and submit on the electronic system in live time.
- Normally act as the lead technician or “responsible person” when working in a team of two or more technicians.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with current legislation and is documented at all times.
- Carry out tasks in accordance with WCS Group procedures/method statements.
- Maintain and promote health and safety standards within your team, to sub-contractors, and to clients to company standards and procedures.
- Plan to ensure scheduled work is completed on time and to maximum efficiency.
- Liaise with client representatives as required.
- Report any pertinent issues to your field manager or client representative as appropriate.
- Adhere to the client’s specific Health and Safety/Safe Working practices at all times.
- Carry out multiple tasks in a range of works disciplines and identify personal training needs for discussion with your Line Manager.
- Train less experienced technicians/engineers as needed.
- Occasionally work in other roles reasonably within capabilities.
- Ensure all equipment used is safe and fit for purpose.
- Have skills in line with levels 1 & 2 and either technical service (closed heating and chilled system testing, cooling tower weekly/monthly checks and water treatment of boilers), plumbing & water treatment remedial skills, or acid descaling of boilers, towers and condensers.
Qualifications:
- Experience in water hygiene tasks and service delivery with adherence to method statements and safety standards.
- Ability to act as lead technician or responsible person in small teams.
- Knowledge of current legislation related to water hygiene and safety; documentation and audit readiness.
- Willingness to train and support less experienced technicians.
