Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is looking for a Water Technician Level 1 to maintain safe, compliant water systems across our high‑profile sites. You will be responsible for Legionella monitoring, routine water maintenance, testing and basic plumbing interventions.
Responsibilities
- Complete Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling, chemical testing and minor plumbing tasks.
- Ensure routine monitoring tasks comply with the Approved Code of Practice L8.
- Maintain customer water log books and document all activities following company policy and current guidelines.
- Carry out water system cleanings and disinfections in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company procedures.
- Test, service, and maintain thermostatic mixing valves and perform basic plumbing work as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience within compliance servicing, Legionella monitoring or water treatment.
- Applicants with limited or no direct experience are welcome if they possess relevant experience in similar fields.
- Advanced knowledge and experience of maintaining water systems is desirable.
