Unlike many traditional zero‑hour relief roles, we offer a guaranteed 8‑hour weekly contract, with additional hours depending on operational needs. As a Relief Officer, you will provide essential cover for colleagues during annual leave, sickness and unplanned absences, meaning your weekly hours will vary. Operational Responsibilities
- Protect staff, visitors, property and assets in line with site Assignment Instructions (AIs)
- Maintain full compliance with security procedures and legal requirements
- Deliver a professional and reliable security presence at all times
- Support service excellence and contribute to continuous improvement
Training & Development
- Complete all required training to remain competent across multiple sites
- Maintain and renew your SIA licence in line with requirements
- Use site technology and systems effectively
Security & Health & Safety
- Identify and report hazards, threats or suspicious activity
- Remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Complete accurate incident reports and documentation
- Contact emergency services and the Communications Centre when required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous security experience
- Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor)
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Flexible availability (days, nights and weekends as required)
- A reliable, proactive and professional approach
