Overview
Responsibilities:
- Leading the day to day shift teams.
- Ensuring all planned, corrective and reactive work is completed on time.
- Supporting root cause analysis and CAPAs for technical activities.
- Daily attendance at the 0900 / 1630 team activity call.
- Attendance at GSK morning TAP.
- Assigning duties to technicians during shifts.
- Day to day lead of shift team including conduct, performance and capability; taking actions to address any inappropriate behaviour or low standards.
- Holding regular shift team meetings on daily and weekly objectives.
- Providing direction and feedback to technicians during shifts.
- Effective handover with the other shift lead role.
- Participating in work activities, leading by demonstration, and showing them how to do the job effectively where required.
- Assisting in training and coaching new employees.
- Providing customer service and managing complaints.
- Prompt and correct documentation of incidents.
- Ensuring communications are maintained between the technical supervisors & client relating to the progress of work orders.
- Performing duties of a person authorised to issue permits to work.
- Identifying potential training requirements for existing team to ensure statutory requirements are met and efficient working practices are followed.
- Attending and fully participating in training and appraisal activities as required.
- Bringing innovation, building solutions to business challenges and maintaining a βcan-do' attitude.
- Fostering and maintaining a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Working well within a team.
- Leadership skills and ability to make decisions fast.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude.
- Able to work without direct supervision.
- Able to deal directly with customers in a professional manner and represent the company.
- Able to complete & produce RAMs.
- Ability to plan/schedule both PPM & Reactive workload.
- Computer literate β competent in Microsoft Office and ability to work on CAFM systems.
- Knowledge of working on BMS systems.
Health And Safety Responsibilities:
- Always follow Group and company policies and procedures.
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and/or via your divisional incident reporting system.
Information Security:
- Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities.
- Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager.
- Report actual and suspected security incidents.
