Responsibilities
- Protect our customer's property, people and assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site's published Assignment Instructions (AIs) and any changes.
- Deliver results that meet or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer, providing a service that aids in contract retention.
- Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.
- Be aware of and ensure compliance with all policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AIs).
- Proactively review the published Assignment Instructions and suggest amendments to improve or enhance the current level of service.
- Maintain necessary licences and wear required identification or licencing at all times while on duty (e.g., front-line licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision; CCTV PSS SIA Licence; other contractually required courses).
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way.
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents when necessary.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Up to date with using a smartphone and basic desktop PC work.
- Must hold a driving licence and have own vehicle.
- Must be able to gain SC clearance.
- DS licence preferable; CCTV licence preferable.
- Flexible for days, nights and weekends.
- Previous security experience; SIA licence; SC clearance desirable.
- Strong observation, reporting and incident documentation skills.
Training and Development
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
- Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop knowledge through continual professional development.
- Renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Health, Safety and Compliance
- Look out for and report health and safety hazards on site.
- Stay alert to threats or changes in the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
- Maintain professional conduct in challenging situations and with customers.
- Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries after incidents for the Incident Report process.
- Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slots as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AIs).
