At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We’re looking for an Asbestos Bulk Analyst to carry out the analysis of bulk samples to determine asbestos content in line with HSE guidance.

Role Responsibilities

  • Analyse bulk samples in accordance with Asbestos: The Analyst’s Guide (HSG 248).
  • Book in samples received from site and complete all associated data entry on TEAMS.
  • Complete certificates of analysis and close completed work within required timescales.
  • Ensure laboratory cleanliness, security of equipment, and accurate record keeping at all times.
  • Maintain technical compliance, following company procedures and supporting internal and external audit requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • BOHS P401 or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • BOHS Certificate of Competence in Asbestos (CoCA) or RSPH Asbestos Bulk Analysis (PLM).
  • RSPH Level 4 Certificate in Asbestos and Project Management (desirable).
