The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
An experienced Technical Supervisor is sought to manage the electrical services delivered across the client site, including electrical safety checks, the Fixed Wire Testing programme and all associated LV/HV planned and reactive maintenance, plus any project works. The successful candidate will report to the site Contract Manager and take responsibility for the electrical technical framework and appointments across the plant.
Responsibilities
- Manage electrical safety checks, the Fixed Wire Testing programme, LV/HV planned and reactive maintenance, and any related project works.
- Coordinate and manage specialist electrical contractors; liaise with the client to arrange maintenance outage windows; act as the subject matter expert across the plant and support the operational delivery and development of the engineering team.
- Work to high levels of health and safety; understand and apply building statutory requirements; ensure regular monitoring and inspection procedures are carried out for all equipment as part of the preventative maintenance programme.
- Be flexible and carry out duties which are not electrically biased.
- Be proactive with the ability to anticipate, diagnose and repair faults.
- Communicate with wholesalers to obtain quotations for parts to complete tasks.
- Supervise (Performing Authority) of site contractors.
- Hold a full clean driving licence.
- Able to work at heights up to 3 metres and lift weights up to 25 kg.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
- Strong customer care focus; good communication skills; computer literate.
- Complete essential paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
Qualifications / Requirements
- City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent.
- 18th edition IEE wiring regulations.
- Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on equipment including boiler plant, HVAC, pumps, generators, switchgear, wiring & cabling, batteries, small power, lighting.
