To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes. Deliver results that meet and/or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer, ensuring full responsibility and accountability and helping retain the contract. Undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development.
Main Duties
- Ensure compliance with all policies, relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
- Proactively review the Assignment Instructions, familiarising oneself with any changes, and suggest amendments that improve or enhance the current level of service.
- Comply with industry and statutory legislation, including holding a front‑line licence for Security Guarding or Door Supervision and a CCTV PSS SIA Licence, and renew licences 16 weeks before expiry.
- Comply with all legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately, without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work in a systematic, methodological and orderly manner.
Training
- Complete all required competency training satisfactorily.
- Undertake additional training directed by the Security Account Manager to ensure continuous self‑development.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through continual professional development.
- Renew licences promptly, ensuring compliance with renewal deadlines.
Security and Health & Safety
- Look out for and immediately report any health & safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
- Stay alert to threats or changes within the environment and take appropriate action to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative, involving others when a situation becomes threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and with challenging customers.
- Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry after any incident for the Incident Report process.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
- Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slot as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions.
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
