To protect our customer's property, people, and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the site's published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes. Deliver results that meet and/or exceed Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreements. Undertake additional training for continuous self‑development.
Main Duties
- Be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of Security.
- Serve as first point of contact for the Security team and manage daily matters such as standards of dress, discipline, and conduct.
- Assist in on‑going training of resident security teams and ensure all new security officers are fully trained and inducted.
- Develop teamwork, high morale, and effective motivation.
- Assist in review of Security Officers’ performance and development.
- Assist in security/equipment investigations (thefts, missing items, complaints).
- Provide customer/client liaison as required.
- Ensure Assignment Instructions are adhered to at all times by security and shipping personnel.
- Ensure important messages are conveyed in the Security Handover and that all personnel acknowledge them.
- Maintain accurate security records and logs.
- Ensure compliance with legislation on data protection.
Qualifications
- Previous Security Experience.
- SIA License.
- SC Clearance desirable.
- Good literacy and communication skills with excellent verbal and written English.
- Computer and software literate.
- Reliability, self‑motivation and ability to use initiative and work without supervision.
- Problem‑solving, decision‑making, prioritisation skills.
- Ability to transfer self‑motivation to staff.
- Tact, diplomacy to deal with people at all levels.
- Self‑confidence and interest in self‑development.
- Interest in continuous improvement of the company’s performance.
- Excellent record of attendance and timekeeping.
