Store Protection Officer in Stroud

Overview

Payrate £15.64 per hour • Location: Stroud • Permanent role with guaranteed hours.

Store Protection Officer – Waitrose. This role provides security and excellent customer service aligned with Mitie and Waitrose values. Full training will be provided, including MAYBO and a focus on customer service. Company-funded SIA licence renewal is included. You will be supported by the National Operations Centre (NOC) and provided with technology such as body worn cameras and an incident reporting device.

Responsibilities

• Protect the Waitrose store, its people and assets; deliver security and customer service in line with ASCONE guidance.
• Engage with National Operations Centre (NOC) and Mitie management; use all provided technology to report incidents.
• Complete all site tasks as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
• Review Assignment Instructions regularly and suggest enhancements to improve service levels.
• Maintain compliance with industry and statutory legislation; obtain and wear the required front-line licence for Security Guarding or Door Supervision.
• Work in a systematic, orderly manner and uphold professional conduct at all times.

Training

• Complete required competency training; undertake ongoing development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
• Utilise technology to achieve objectives and progress through professional development.
• Renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.

Security and Health & Safety

• Identify and report Health & Safety hazards on site; stay alert to threats or changes in the work environment.
• Maintain professional conduct in challenging situations; document incidents accurately for the Incident Report process.
• Maintain schedules, ensure check calls are carried out, and contact emergency services and the Communication Centre as required.

• Previous security experience
• SIA Licence
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Energy and enthusiasm
