Hours: Contracted hours with flexibility to support shifts, on-call and out-of-hours work where required.
At Mitie, we are looking for a reliable and proactive Storeman to support maintenance operations and ensure the contract runs smoothly by having the right materials, tools and equipment available when needed.
Role Responsibilities
- Managing stock levels and maintaining accurate records, including COSHH documentation, ensuring secure storage and effective stock control.
- Issuing materials, tools and equipment to engineers and trades teams, preparing spares and stock requirement lists to support procurement.
- Receiving deliveries and, where required, collecting goods from suppliers, ensuring correct storage and compliance.
- Supporting audits, including tool audits with the client's security team, and carrying out ladder inspections and power tool checks.
- Assisting skilled trades, escorting external contractors in line with site procedures, and supporting work across other sites within the contract portfolio when required.
Required Qualifications
- Confident working independently while also being a strong team player.
- Flexible approach to working patterns, shifting priorities, and contract demands.
- Basic IT skills with confidence in completing records, documentation, and timesheets on time.
- Willingness to undertake training, including working at height using MEWPs or similar equipment.
- Adaptable, reliable, and practical with a positive, hands-on attitude.
