Site Manager Responsibilities
- Directly responsible to the Project Manager and Operations Manager
- Oversee day‑to‑day installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical fire protection, gas suppression and fire detection systems
- Supervise site installation sub‑contractors through inspections, ensuring safe working, adherence to approved method statements, risk assessments, site housekeeping, work permits, progress, construction drawings and task allocation
- Deliver regular site safety toolbox talks to the site team
- Regularly liaise with client representatives, including progress meetings, safety meetings, inspections, planning, snagging inspections and related activities
- Coordinate with Argus Fire project team members and management
- Perform installation snagging inspections and complete snagging paperwork
- Complete regular safety checks on site equipment and associated checklists
- Work remotely on sites throughout the UK
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager of fire suppression system projects
- Proficient with IT software, particularly MS Outlook and MS Office
- Good working knowledge of electrical installation practices and methods
- Good working knowledge of fire suppression products and alarm system design, commissioning and cause‑and‑effect testing
- Good working knowledge of BS EN 12845, BS 990 and BS 9251
- SMSTS qualification
- Strong appreciation of construction‑related health and safety protocols
- Clean UK driving licence
Desirable
- Suitable NVQ Level 3 qualification (can be provided after probation)

- Ability to travel to sites within the UK and stay away from home when required
