Security Officer Full Time role at Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services. Location: Ikea Glasgow, Scotland. Pay rate: £13.10 per hour. Hours: Full-time (40 hours min, 5 days a week, including weekends). Free Parking and good public transport access.

Job Details
Mitie is looking for a Retail Loss Prevention Officer to deliver exceptional customer service while creating a safe and secure shopping environment. A full background check will be completed, including a full 5-year employment/education history. Ideally, you will already hold an SIA licence including CCTV; however, SIA training can be provided for the successful candidate.
Main Duties
- Be aware of and ensure compliance with all policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AIs).
- Proactively refer to and review the published Assignment Instructions to familiarise yourself with changes and suggest amendments to improve service.
- Maintain compliance with industry and statutory legislation; obtain and wear the required front-line licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) at all times. The customer may require a CCTV PSS SIA Licence; additional contractually required courses may apply.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way.
Training
- Complete all required competency training.
- Undertake additional training as directed by the Security Account Manager for continuous development.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop knowledge through ongoing professional development.
- Renew your licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
- Identify and report any Health & Safety hazards on site.
- Stay alert to threats or changes in the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
- Demonstrate professional conduct with difficult situations or challenging customers.
- Maintain an accurate notebook and incident reports as required.
- Keep to schedules and ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated times.
- Call emergency services and the Communications Centre to report incidents.
