Mitie is seeking passionate Security Guards to support the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) across various sites in Kingston and surrounding areas.

Job Overview

  • Provide flexibility to travel between DWP sites.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for DWP staff, visitors, and property.
  • Patrol premises regularly to identify potential security threats.
  • Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring proper identification and verification.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies or suspicious situations.
  • Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and assist staff and visitors with security-related matters.
  • Conduct routine security checks and submit incident reports as appropriate.
  • Adhere to Mitie and DWP security policies, procedures, and regulations.

Security and Health & Safety

  • Report any health and safety hazards immediately.
  • Stay alert to threats or changes in the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce risks.
  • Use common sense and initiative; involve others if a situation appears threatening.
  • Maintain professional conduct with difficult customers.
  • Complete accurate incident notebooks promptly for the Incident Report process.
  • Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
  • Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
