We are looking for organised and detail-focused Administrators to join our growing team and help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of prison operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with data and processes, and takes pride in producing accurate and high-quality work. Depending on the department you are allocated to, you may be required to work within prisoner-facing areas of the establishment as part of your role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Maintaining accurate records, systems and databases
  • Processing confidential information efficiently and accurately
  • Producing reports and analysing data
  • Managing emails, schedules and administrative workflows
  • Updating spreadsheets and tracking key information
  • Supporting meetings and preparing documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and audit requirements
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple departments
  • Responding to queries and providing excellent customer service

Essential Requirements

To apply, you must:

  • Be eligible to work in the UK. Please note that this role is not eligible for new Skilled Worker visa sponsorship under current immigration rules.
  • Be able to pass HMPPS security clearance checks, including:
    • 10-year employment/activity history
    • Financial checks
    • Social media screening

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

Travel Information

HMP Millsike is located in a rural area with limited public transport links. Due to fixed shift times aligned to prison operational requirements, access to your own transport is highly beneficial.
