Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
Shift Pattern: 2pm - 10pm, Monday to Friday.
Pay: £12.75 per hour.
Location: McCormick (UK), 5 Forli Strada, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England, PE7 3HH.
Responsibilities:
- Waste Operative to join the Waste and Cleaning team to undertake the collection, movement, sorting, processing and dispatch of waste and other materials including the compaction of waste and cardboard.
- Monitor the performance of equipment, provide support to the On-Site Waste Coordinator to complete site objectives and ensure compliance with PPE guidance.
- Carry out duties in line with Health and Safety regulations; be prepared to work outside including in extreme weather conditions; carry out strenuous tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator license/certification; counterbalance license preferred.
- Experience in waste management or a related field; good level of English; ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures; ability to lift and move heavy objects; good time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Pass a DBS check and drug/alcohol screening prior to starting.
- Experience in Health & Safety training, understanding of waste management and environmental legislation; experience with static balers and compactors is advantageous.
