Overview
Job Title: Painter & Decorator
Location: North West Region (travel across local sites required)
- Rate of Pay: £15.83 per hour + performance-based bonus
- Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
- Weekly Hours: 39 hours
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM; Friday 8:00 AM – 3:45 PM
Responsibilities
- Preparing walls and surfaces for painting (filling, sanding, minor repairs)
- Applying various finishes including emulsion, gloss, and specialist coatings
- Erecting and using access equipment (with full training and equipment provided)
- Installing temporary screening to protect the surrounding area and ensure safety
- Managing paint and materials stock levels, ensuring efficient usage
- Keeping tools clean and well-maintained for reuse
- Completing work to a high standard, within budget and deadlines
- Recording work using smartphone technology, including photos and notes
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years\’ checkable experience in painting and decorating
- Ideally NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, or completed time-served apprenticeship
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence preferred (travel between sites required)
