40 hours per week. Campsfield Immigration Removal Centre (IRC) is expanding its workforce as a newly opened centre. We are looking for respectful, diligent and caring colleagues to join our growing team. We are seeking a proactive and experienced manager to lead on monitoring, assurance, and improvement activities, ensuring the Centre consistently delivers to the highest standards while embedding social value at the heart of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Training and developing the cleaning / housekeeping team
- Coordinate all work assignments
- Inspect and audit completed work
- Demonstrate good interpersonal attributes
- Possess excellent communication skills in speaking, writing and listening
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team as well as lead
- Keep the team encouraged and motivated
- Perform other duties as required
- Be flexible in your approach to duties
- Work within a prison environment
- On occasion, the cleaning of body fluids (blood, urine and faeces)
Health and Safety Responsibilities
- Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may affect service delivery, health and safety, or the environment
- Use all work equipment and PPE properly and in accordance with training
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager or via the divisional incident reporting system
Person Specification
- Previous cleaning experience would be an advantage
- Strong supervisory skills and ability to designate responsibilities
