We are currently looking for a Water Hygiene Engineer to complete a range of Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling, chemical testing, minor plumbing and electro/mechanical tasks to meet clients' requirements. Can you deliver a high quality of service, with a keen eye for safety and detail?
Main Duties
- Completion of routine monitoring tasks in line with the Approved Code of Practice L8.
- This is a mobile role, travelling to client sites and completing the necessary tasks to maintain compliance.
- To be an ambassador for Mitie whilst visiting customers' sites.
- Maintain our customer's water log books and complete the necessary documentation in accordance with current guidelines and company policy.
- To take a variety of water samples from multiple sector properties and document these samples in line with company procedures.
- Carry out water system clean and disinfections in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company procedures.
- Testing, servicing and maintaining of thermostatic mixing valves and basic plumbing works where required.
- Experience of completing works on heating/chilled water systems and chemical dosing systems is desirable but not essential.
- To communicate on a daily basis with the service department and your supervisor, ensuring that all tasks are carried out efficiently.
- Maintain adequate stocks of chemicals and materials as necessary.
- Ensure that any equipment that you are responsible for is properly maintained.

What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience within Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring or Water Treatment is essential.
- Advanced knowledge and experience of maintaining water systems is desirable.
- Basic IT skills, including the use of tablets/mobile devices and Microsoft programmes is necessary.
- The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively is required in every part of this role.
