Mobile Security Officer
We are seeking a highly capable and dependable Mobile Security Officer to play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of a site in Immingham. This position is critical to maintaining consistent security and operational standards. It requires a proactive and detail‑oriented individual with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to the changing demands of the role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Incident Management: Respond promptly and accurately to any incidents, ensuring detailed reporting and swift action to address any security concerns.
- Site Patrols: Conduct regular patrols across designated areas of the site, maintaining heightened security awareness and ensuring compliance with required Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- Communication: Establish effective communication with site personnel, clients, or visitors, ensuring smooth interactions in both routine and emergency situations.
Key Requirements
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be aged 21 or over due to insurance purposes.
- Full Clean UK Manual Driver's Licence: A valid driver's licence is essential to fulfil the mobile element of the role, with at least one year of practical driving experience.

Job Overview
- To protect our customer’s property, people and/or assets by providing security services in accordance with the site’s Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and subsequent changes.
- Deliver results that meet and/or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer, providing a service that aids in retaining the contract.
- To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self‑development.
Main Duties
- Be aware of and ensure compliance with all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and Guidance bodies.
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published AI’s.
- Proactively review the published AI’s and suggest additional amendments to improve service level.
- Maintain compliance with Industry and Statutory Legislation, including required front‑line licences and CCTV PSS SIA Licence.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way.
Training
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
- Embark on additional training for continuous self‑development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge and expertise through continual professional development.
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
- Look out for and immediately report any Health & Safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
- Stay alert to threats or changes to reduce risk of disruption, loss or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative by involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and challenging customers.
- Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries after any incident.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
- Ensure check calls are carried out at scheduled times per AI’s.
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
