Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven engineer to join our growing Engineering family.

Responsibilities

Undertaking maintenance and reactive activity, to a wide range of Mechanical and Electrical Building services. This could include equipment including but limited to general lighting, building controls, small power and distribution heating, boilers, pumps and compressed air systems, fan coil and air handling units and other equipment found in commercial/industrial premises.

A big part of this role is to collaborate and be a part of the local team who will ensure the safe operation and repair of all M&E building services, fabric and equipment on site. It will also be required for you to participate in department energy saving schemes and promote the understanding and importance of the economic use of energy and work in accordance with business systems that will ensure the plant is maintained and operated to its optimum efficiency.

There will also be a requirement for you to take part in a rota that provides a reactive maintenance service outside the operating hours of the site and possibly hours on the weekend/out of hours to complete maintenance activities that cannot be undertaken during client operating hours.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a proactive engineer who will undertake all allocated tasks in a timely and professional manner and to be able to identify and report faults with the building services equipment and take the relevant steps to resolve. You will need to be comfortable and have a strong knowledge of H&S issues and be able to report/escalate these where required. You will need to assume responsibility for compliance with all relevant legislation and site specific welfare policies.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • NVQ L3 Electrical or C&G 2382-18
  • 18th Edition BS7671:2018
  • SC clearance is a requirement for this role.

  • Planned and Reactive maintenance activities under your control are completed within contract timescales.
  • All H&S requirements are undertaken.
  • Reports completed and handheld device updates are to a high standard and contain all required information.
