Mitie are now recruiting for a Building Services Engineer with a Gas engineer bias . This role is working on Central Government and Home Office Contracts
The salary on offer will be dependant upon the candidate`s qualifications and experience.

We are looking for an experienced Gas engineer who has experience of also servicing air conditioning equipment to complete maintenance, repairs and PPM\'s in Commercial and Residential government property\'s, including fabric, basic electrical and plumbing tasks as required to ensure all PPM and reactive tasks are completed to the required legislative standards.
You\'ll complete the appropriate I.T and paperwork reports as requested. You\'ll ensure all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed within the required timescales, ensure all certification is correctly completed and remedial works clearly identified. As a Gas Engineer you will also need to carry out reactive and emergency tasks and be expected to complete all tasks using handheld technology effectively.
Candidates must be able to be on a call out rota to provide clients with full out of hours cover and assist other team members when required or as directed from a Supervisor or Contract Manager. You\'ll need to have a proactive approach to sourcing additional opportunities or works on sites and provide detailed information for quotes.
Requirements
Commercial Qualifications: CODNCO1, CCN1 CPA1, TPCP1 & TPCP1A, ICPN1, and appliances CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1.
Domestic Qualifications: CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1
Experience: Experience in a similar role.
Skills: Strong understanding of statutory compliance in building services engineering.
Technical Proficiency: IT literate
Driving License: Full Driving License
F-Gas (desirable but training can be provided)
THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE AN ENHANCED SECURITY CHECK
You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of manufacturer plants, for example, Daikin, Mitsubishi, Media, Toshiba, and LG. Understanding installation designs and bespoke manufacturer trouble shooting procedures, whilst also being comfortable with seeking manufacturer technical support autonomously is desirable. You will be expected to complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, keeping logs of inspections reports and remedial work.
Candidates will have a full current driving licence and be willing to participate in an On-Call rota. You\'ll be capable of performing manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces. Good verbal and written communication are important, including the ability to use a handheld computer device (PDA). You\'ll need to be highly self-motivated, and solutions focussed with the ability to work without supervision but also enjoy working as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment., and must have relevant knowledge of Health & Safety, Permit to Work procedures and safe systems of working.
