Front of House Assistant (FHA)
35 hours per week; shift pattern: 06:00‑14:00, 14:00‑22:00, 22:00‑06:00 – 4 on/2 off roster, including weekends; fixed shift start/finish times.
Responsibilities
- Work within the Transport Team, carrying out duties effectively and efficiently in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Follow the company's Health, Safety and Quality procedures.
- Undertake the training matrix specific to this role.
- Ensure all equipment is clean, well‑maintained and in safe working order (e. g., PAT tested).
- Maintain full knowledge of the cleaning process, work specification and time allocations for each task.
- Complete tasks to the agreed level of cleanliness as per contract and relevant SLA’s, carrying out daily, weekly and periodic duties as directed by the Duty Manager/Management.
- Have working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used within the premises.
- Log in and out accurately to record operative hours, reflecting start and finish times each day.
- Comply with Health & Safety, legislation and premises policies.
- Report maintenance defects to the Duty Manager.
- Observe all MITIE PFI’s and client site rules at all times.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, wear PPE as issued and follow appearance guidelines.
- Deal with complaints within your duties and report them immediately to the Cleaning Supervisor.
- Perform miscellaneous cleaning duties as instructed by the Duty Manager/Management.
- Carry out duties across the premises, including use of rotary machine and routine cleaning of offices.
- Perform litter picking of external areas and car parks.
- Handle grit work – require a full UK driving licence, vehicles include 4×4 L200, Transit Tipper; must be over 21, a manual driver with no more than 6 points on licence.
- Use hand gritters, jet washing and gum removal as needed.
- Full training and uniform will be provided.
