Job Description: Dual Role - 36 Hour Relief Control Room Operator/Security Officer
Mitie Business Services is the UK’s leading facilities management and professional services company.
You will work as a dual officer – Control Room Operator and Security Officer – at BBC Broadcasting House, London, W1A 1AA.
Hours
36 hours per week. Relief officer schedule: Monday to Sunday – day shift (07:00‑19:00) and night shift (19:00‑07:00).
Hourly Rate
£14.80.

Responsibilities
- Dual officer role – Control Room Operator and Security Officer
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Maintain concentration, coordinate and multitask
- Communicate effectively and produce clear reports
- Physical protection of the premises and preservation of life
- Prevent loss of assets, critical technology, sensitive information or reputational damage
- Use client knowledge to minimise business impact, escalating when appropriate and understanding critical systems
- Oversee perimeter access through reception for staff, tenants, contractors and visitors
- PATROL, search, and respond to emergency procedures
- Monitor access and egress of personnel and guests, responding to breaches
- Maintain clear and legible records and logbook
- Adhere to health & safety at all times
- Incident management
- Other duties as required
