Control Room Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the organisation’s priorities and how your role supports daily objectives.
  • Manage the day‑to‑day running of the LCC 24/7 and act as first‑line response to all incidents affecting the global contract.
  • Take the lead on critical and emergency situations ‘out of hours’ until a client representative takes over.
  • Ensure all alarms into the LCC are dealt with quickly and effectively, supporting the wider business where possible.
  • Support the UK & Ireland offices in managing their responsibilities and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Manage and monitor organisation’s travellers abroad, taking quick and effective action on any incidents that arise.
  • Investigate issues or incidents that impact staff, premises, assets or Mitie security staff.
  • Utilise security and protective systems to manage and monitor global events/incidents.
  • Proactively identify issues that may impact the wider business and engage relevant stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with other global Control Rooms to deliver consistent services.
  • Escalate incidents via correct channels to the nominated company lead(s).
  • Deliver exceptional customer service for all enquiries into the control room.
  • Ensure staff take responsibility for each enquiry to support satisfactory resolution.
  • Support the organisation in undertaking regular audits of all security and other systems.
  • Lead ‘one‑off’ projects for the Control Room as directed by the client.
  • Coordinate with service partners to report equipment faults quickly.
  • Look for opportunities for continuous improvement and propose mutually beneficial options.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Coach and mentor LCC Controllers to reach site‑specific objectives.
  • Conduct regular knowledge checks on Controllers’ ability to undertake their role and support development.
  • Achieve monthly LCC KPI requirements.
  • Manage WP+ to ensure hours are reconciled.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures relating to the account and workforce are followed at all times.
  • Conduct check‑calls where security staff are lone‑working on other UK sites.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the client.
