Applicant must be able to commit to the various shift pattern: 4 on - days / 4 off / 4 on - nights shift pattern (12-hour shifts).
Job Overview:
Mitie is looking for a Logistics Security Officer who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe environment, free from the fear of crime for visitors and colleagues.
It is preferable that you hold a current SIA licence or SIA Certificates (but in some circumstances training for a licence can be provided).
Vetting: It is vital that you have a full 5-year checkable employment/education history; failure to do so could mean your offer will be withdrawn or your employment stopped.
Main Duties:
- To deliver industry leading customer service.
- To conduct patrols of the depot.
- To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors.
- Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss.
- Liaise with the depot management teams.
- To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices.
- To conduct searches (to be discussed at interview).
- To respond to any on-site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager.
- To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime.
- Support with access and egress to and from the site as is required by the systems installed.
- Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (to be discussed at interview).
- Must have reasonable level of PC skills.
