We're looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer who will undertake mechanical repairs, maintenance tasks and minor installations of mechanical equipment within a commercial environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Undertake planned maintenance activities and repairs on all mechanical equipment, including pumps and mechanical drive systems.
- Diagnose and repair simple and complex faults, identifying and actioning any remedial works required.
- Produce permits to work and risk assessments, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and within contractual timescales.
- Work collaboratively with team members and visiting sub‑contractors, ensuring high standards of work and Health & Safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation, use handheld technology effectively, and build excellent customer relationships with on‑site clients.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including apprenticeship training.
- City & Guilds Level qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant mechanical discipline.
- Experience in maintenance, testing and fault finding on a variety of mechanical equipment in commercial environments.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
