We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team. You will ensure effective delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive calls, and additional small works, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire alarms, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm/associated equipment and products to the relevant legislative and qualitative standards.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and records in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support PPM, reactive calls, and small works.
- Attend and participate in company‑initiated training to maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role carrying out PPM, reactive calls and small works in the fire & security systems industry.
- Service test and inspection experience to relevant standards/codes, including fault‑finding techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and basic Microsoft Word and Excel literacy.
- Capability to work to high health and safety requirements.
- Experience with PPM, Accident Reporting, RAMS and following health and safety legislation, preferably in engineering.
- Ability to take initiative and work with little supervision.
