Overview
Cleaning Operative. Mitie Care & Custody (C&C) aims to establish HMP Millsike as a place of restoration and rehabilitation, helping prisoners unlock their potential and make positive changes. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful environment that supports personal growth and preparation for re-entry into society.
Job Objectives And Responsibilities
Maintaining cleanliness in the establishment to a high standard, stocking and maintaining supply rooms, and following health and safety regulations. This includes conducting disinfection and deep cleaning when required, adhering to COSHH guidelines, and performing all tasks with a strong focus on health and safety. Report any incidents, defects, or dangers to the supervisor. Part-time work may be considered.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills, is self-motivated, and can work both within a team and independently. Customer service skills are essential. A background in cleaning is advantageous, but full training will be provided. Flexibility within contracted hours and being a strong team player with a an dottitude is important. The candidate should be proactive, with high moral standards and integrity.
